Dummies Guide to tecHeal

Hi. I’m Varun Jaidka. I am best known for being the guy who created the blog you’re reading right now. This is a personal blog in which I (will) write about entrepreneurship, technology, health, fitness, nature and not -so philosophical questions about life. The blog shall continue to evolve, grow, contract, expand, recede, explode, go dark, go weird, go personal, and even occasionally reinvent itself – all depending on where my interest, attention, and obsessions find me at a given time. But, in fairness, they are my obsessions, and I own them.
  • Why is it called techeal?
Technology is my passion and I wanna make healthcare delivery my profession. So, in a nutshell Techeal suffices it all.

  • Who is your target audience?
It's the majority of internet users- decent, thoughtful people who are looking to connect with others of their ilk, have a meaningful conversation, exchange ideas, argue about their beliefs or even learn about the beliefs that others espouse. My main aim is to promote civilised debate on the Internet.
Its definitely not for the "haters of the virtual world" or the kind of loonies.

  • How are you going to deal with loonies?
I have and will always adopt a pro-active approach. As a first step, anyone who transgresses the boundaries of civilised discourse will be off all subscriptions to my weblog. I feel its every blogger's responsibility to stand up for the values of a civilised cyber world. It's time to treat the abusive commentators of cyberspace as the social pariahs that they are. And it's time to take back the Internet from the loonies.

  • Can the content on this blog be used elsewhere?
The content on this blog is my intellectual property. You can't use my content without attributing it to me. You're free to use what you think is right, as long as you attribute it back to my weblog.(As per the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License)
As a matter of fact, not all the content posted on this blog has been/will be created by me and due care is/will be taken to always rightfully attribute it,  whenever it doesn't come from me.

If you are a soul, who has been wandering around my weblog for quite some time and you wish to know a bit more about me, Here is a list of some UAQs (Un-frequently asked questions) about me and my blog.

  • Why did'nt you start before?

Coz I am suffering from the deadly disease of procrastination and I am a true believer of the "Its never too late to begin.." school of thought.

    • How old are you?
Age has no meaning. You are only as old as you think you are.

    • Why do you write a blog?
Blogging is such an intimate endeavour. Many people bare the inner workings of their souls to complete strangers on a daily basis and I feel this is immensely therapeutic. I intend to do the same, although not only that.
Precisely the want for sharing my thoughts made me try my hand at blogging, and Techeal was born. It was started with an intent to say, to speak out to the netizens and to express myself to like-minded people in the best possible way.
Another reason is  my addiction to the Internet. Not the Social Networking shit. Something different. Very Different. As a matter of fact I have found some of the best and the most treasured stuff on the Net. And its just a matter of perspective.

    • Where do you work/study?
I am a university undergraduate, studying Pharmacy at the Jamia Hamdard University(yes, the website looks crap, I know). I am an alumnus of Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.(2010 batch)

    • What are your hobbies and interests?
I am a voracious reader of books and magazines. I love listening to music on my Itouch and I enjoy browsing the web on it even more. I also love itunes, just because it gives you loads of podcasts, most of them free or under $2. I closely follow content(books, blogs, podcasts, video blogs) created by Robin Sharma, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Darren Hardy, Ron White, Jack Canfield, Stephen Covey, Les Brown, Tom Peters, Connie Podesta, Dennis waitley and John Gray.
Ya, you got it right, I am a personal development fanatic as well.

I like FOSS(Free and open source software) and am a Linux enthusiast. I double-boot linux and windows on my laptop, and as a matter of fact, I spend almost 95% of the time using linux.
I regret that being an undergrad leaves you with very little time to pursue your interests.

    • What is your ambition?
I wanna try my hands at Entrepreneurship in the Healthcare delivery space. I don't know what, when and where but I strongly believe that with persistence, focus and humility I'll be able to make a mark.

    • What makes you happy?
Happiness is a moment, its unpredictable. You can't decide when you are going to feel happy. It's about being connected and about peace.

    • How can you get in touch with me?
If you want to get in touch with me about any questions you have regarding my weblog, permission to use my work beyond the Creative Commons licence restrictions, advertising etc. then you can email me at mail-at-techeal-dot-in (I consider you smart enough to replace ‘.’ and ‘@’ at the appropriate places). NO CRAZY SPAM PLEASE.

If there is anything else you want to know, please ask. I will do my best to evade it.
